Default What's your body scale?

Hey,

Weird question maybe! But, what is your character's body scale? There are 15 different options from small to big, which you can set at character's creation. with 1 being shortest and 15 being tallest, I went with body scale 9, I'm a male dervish and I like being kinda tall but some people just take it way to far! Sometimes I see characters who look like they must be 7 feet tall while at other times I see really really small characters who look like small children. Strangly enough these short characters are most often females! Maybe some sickos like to watch young girls in skirts kill stuff? or something?

anyway what is your body scale?

My Monk has the smallest body scale. It depends on the class and gender too.

The scale is determined by what profession you are and your gender. Males are taller than females; Paragons are taller than Warriors, who are taller than ... etc, and monks are the smallest of the lot. Saying this, the tallest possible male monk is only about the size of the smallest possible female paragon.

My warrior i pushed a rank or two higher, my ele is one below, i think, and my monk is average.

Ele - smallest option

Assassin, Paragon, Dervish - Average

Necro, Warrior, Ranger - tallest (all female)

I have a mini monk as a mule and an average male rit as a mule.

You just described the general plotline of goodness knows how many anime movies

All my characters are as tall as I can make them. A max height male mesmer is just a shade taller than a max height male warrior - makes quite a visual impact, towering over most other characters and dressed up to the nines.

Female ranger is my smallest, warrior I pushed to the max making him my tallest.
Strangely, I managed to somehow get my Dervish AND Elementalist (both male) the EXACT the same height, both at about 3\4ths up the scale. (Dervish higher up the scale I think.) Ritualist is roughly middle sized, smaller than the other males but taller than my female. PvP don't count, because i just wham them down to smallest to make it harder to click on. :P

most of my toons are below average, cause I've started with some small toons, and then I've set the rest to be in line.

Well my warrior is almost max height...necro and monk are normal height for thier class.

I personally am fairly short 5'9 and about 190lbs so maybe i am trying to make up for it my RL stance...in VR....maybe an interesting theory.

All of mine are just over the middle line. I don't like the big ones because they didn't properly scale the bodies, just made them all round bigger, and the small ones get lost in a crowd.

LoL! I like that logic. My characters usually hover about an inch (on the scale) lower than max.

I usually like to make my characters the shortest. It compresses the textures into a smaller area, so my characters generally look more detailed even when they're technically not.

The exceptions to this rule are my male warrior and male ranger. They're giants.

My monk is the smallest as can be. My others are around 2-5 on a scale of 1-15. For the most part I didnt like the look of characters taller than that in relation to objects in the game.

I never make my characters the biggest, because I try to most closely depict how I am in real life and try to match it. Im like 195 cm's or so, and I always make my chars a lil less tall then the max because I want them to represent me.
